Jerry Thomsen is a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Stony Brook University. The Thomsen lab is primarily focused on understanding the mechanisms of cell fate specification in embryonic development, specifically the regulation of early development in Xenopus development by two branches of the TGFβ signaling pathway and the mechanisms of regeneration in the sea anemone, Nematostella vectensis.
